Math Program
The core of our maths support. We rebuild number sense from the ground up using multi-sensory, visual methods, putting confidence before correctness.
Ask about Math →Whether it's dyscalculia or just one maths concept that won't stick, struggling with numbers is not a lack of effort or intelligence. With the right, strengths-first support, maths can start to make sense, and confidence can come back.
A child who struggles with numbers may often:
Dyscalculia is a specific learning difference that affects how a child understands numbers and quantities. It is sometimes called "dyslexia for numbers." It is not about being lazy, careless, or unintelligent. A bright, capable, hard-working child can still find it genuinely difficult to connect a number to the amount it represents, recall number facts, or hold the steps of a calculation in mind.
Researchers estimate that around one in twenty children is affected to some degree. Many are never identified, and instead quietly absorb a far more damaging idea: that they are "just bad at maths." That belief, more than the difficulty itself, is often what holds a child back for years.
Your child doesn't need dyscalculia, or any diagnosis, to need maths help. Very often a child is doing fine, then hits a wall at one specific idea. These are the ones we see most, and we support every one of them.
Still counting up to work out 7 × 6.
"Why is 1/4 smaller than 1/3?"
Knowing the maths, but not which sum the sentence is asking for.
Is 0.5 bigger or smaller than 0.05?
Reading a clock, giving the right change.
Knows it at home, goes blank in the test.
If maths is a daily struggle, you don't have to wait for a label. We can help.
We start with how your child actually thinks, then rebuild number sense from solid foundations, at their pace, in small groups, never one-size-fits-all.
An optional screening shows exactly where the gaps and the strengths are. Clear report, no diagnosis required.
Multi-sensory, concrete-to-abstract methods build real number sense before we ever push for speed.
Small wins, paced for your child, turn "I can't" into "I can." Confidence comes before correctness.
We carry the skills into school work, exams, and everyday life, so progress sticks beyond the classroom.
Depending on your child's age and needs, any of these current Lodestone programs can support them. Not sure which? We'll guide you on a free call.

Yes. You do not need a diagnosis, or even dyscalculia, to get help. Many children simply hit a wall at one concept such as times tables, fractions, or word problems. We support all of these with patient, strengths-first teaching.
No diagnosis is required to begin. We can start with a screening to understand exactly where your child struggles and where they are strong, then match them to the right support, with a clear written report and next steps.
Yes, on a case-by-case basis. In-person sessions at our Taipan, Subang Jaya centre suit most children, but where a child is able to focus and engage online, remote support can be arranged. We will advise honestly on what suits your child.
Confidence often shifts within a few weeks once the pressure eases. Measurable progress in number skills usually shows over 8 to 12 weeks, and we share regular updates so you always know where things stand.
