Writing & Handwriting Program
Our core dysgraphia support. Letter formation, pencil grip and fine-motor skills, spelling, and strategies to get ideas from head to page, including assistive options like typing.
Ask about Writing →Whether it's dysgraphia or writing that just hasn't clicked, a child who avoids the page is rarely lazy. They often have plenty to say, and need help getting it from head to hand. With the right support, writing gets easier, and lighter.
A child who struggles with writing may often:
Dysgraphia is a learning difference that affects writing. For some children it is mainly the physical act, letters, spacing and grip; for others it is getting organised thoughts onto the page; often it is both. It is not laziness, low intelligence, or not trying. A bright child can have rich ideas and still find writing genuinely hard.
Because writing is how schools ask children to show what they know, an unsupported child can look like they are underperforming when really the bottleneck is the pen, not the brain. Support the writing, and the real ability shows.
Your child doesn't need dysgraphia, or any diagnosis, to need writing help. Often it is one part of writing that trips them up. These are the ones we see most, and we support every one.
Letters made the wrong way, hard to read.
A tight, tiring, awkward hold.
Words crammed together or wandering off the line.
The same word spelled three ways.
Knows what to say, can't start writing it.
Falls behind, hand aches, gives up.
If writing is a daily battle, you don't have to wait for a label. We can help.
We start with where writing breaks down for your child, then build the physical and the thinking sides of writing, at their pace, with strategies that lighten the load.
An optional screening shows whether it is the motor side, the planning side, or both. Clear report, no diagnosis required.
Letter formation, posture, grip and fine-motor skills, taught explicitly and patiently.
Planning tools and scaffolds get thoughts onto the page, with typing as an option where it helps.
We lower frustration so writing becomes something your child can do, not dread.
Depending on your child's age and needs, any of these Lodestone programs can support them. Not sure which? We'll guide you on a free call.

Ask about Writing →Understand whether the difficulty is motor, language or planning, with a detailed report and clear next steps. No referral or diagnosis needed.
Ask about Screening →Writing and spelling lean on the same language skills as reading. Our structured literacy program strengthens both together.
Ask about Reading →Typing and building give a writing-weary child a confident way to produce work, and a reason to enjoy it.
Ask about Coding →Years of "messy" feedback dent confidence. Our social-emotional program rebuilds it and eases the frustration.
Ask about SEL →Every child is different. Book a free 15-minute call and we'll suggest the right starting point, with no pressure.
Book a free call →Not quite. Dysgraphia can involve the physical act of writing, organising ideas in writing, or both. Messy handwriting is one common sign, but a child may write neatly and still struggle to get their thoughts onto the page.
Yes. You do not need a diagnosis, or even dysgraphia, to get writing help. Many children just stall at one part, like letter formation, spelling, or starting a sentence. We support all of these.
No diagnosis is required to begin. We can start with a screening to understand where writing breaks down and where your child is strong, then match them to the right support, with a clear written report.
Typing can help a lot, and we use it, but handwriting still matters in school and beyond. We build both and balance them to your child's needs rather than giving up on the pen.
Yes, on a case-by-case basis. In-person sessions at our Taipan, Subang Jaya centre suit most children, especially for fine-motor work, but remote support can be arranged where it fits. We will advise honestly.
We are based in Taipan, Subang Jaya, and support families across Petaling Jaya, the Klang Valley and Selangor, with online support available case by case.
