Privacy Notice

How The Lodestone Centre handles your personal data, written under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

This notice is also available in Bahasa Malaysia. Both versions have the same meaning. If they differ, the English version applies.

Last updated: 30 August 2026

The short version.

This website does not store anything about you. It has no database and no login, and it sets no cookies of its own.

Our forms do not send anything anywhere. They open WhatsApp with your details already typed out. Nothing reaches us until you tap Send in WhatsApp yourself.

Once you message us, we keep what you sent so we can reply and help your child. Ask us to delete it at any time and we will.

We use Google Analytics to see which pages get read. It does not tell us who you are.

1. Who we are

The Lodestone Centre is a personalised learning centre in Subang Jaya, Selangor. For the purposes of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 we are the data user in respect of the personal data described here.

The Lodestone Centre
1st Floor, 10, Jalan USJ 10/1, Taipan Business Centre
47620 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
Phone and WhatsApp: +60 12-212 7743
Email: thelodestonesolution@gmail.com

2. What we collect, and why

We only hold personal data that you choose to send us. We do not buy lists, and we do not collect data about you from anywhere else.

WhatWhere it comes fromWhy we need it
Parent or guardian nameYou, by WhatsApp, phone or emailSo we know who we are speaking to
Phone number and emailYouTo reply to your enquiry
Your child's ageYouProgrammes and screening differ by age
What you tell us about your childYouTo suggest a sensible next step, and to run a programme if you join one
Answers to the free 2-minute checkYou, only if you choose to send themTo give you a more useful reply
Website usage, such as pages viewed and device typeGoogle AnalyticsTo see which pages are useful and improve them

Giving us any of this is entirely voluntary. You can browse the whole website, read every guide and use the free check without telling us anything. If you would rather not use a form, call us instead. The only consequence of not providing data is that we cannot reply to you.

3. How our forms actually work

This is worth being precise about, because it is unusual and it works in your favour.

The website has no server that receives form data. When you fill in a form and press the button, your browser opens WhatsApp with a message already written out. You can read it, change it, or close it. Nothing is transmitted to us until you tap Send yourself. If you never tap Send, we never see it, and nothing is stored anywhere.

The same is true of the free 2-minute check. Your answers stay in your own browser while you work through it. They are not saved on our website and they are not sent anywhere unless you choose to send them to us on WhatsApp.

4. Who else is involved

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. Ever.

Two services are involved in what you send us, and each has its own privacy policy:

  • WhatsApp (Meta). Your message travels through WhatsApp, so Meta processes it the same way it does any WhatsApp message.
  • Google Analytics. Tells us which pages are read and roughly where visitors are, by country or city. It does not tell us your name.

Beyond those, this website relies on the usual technical providers for hosting and for delivering fonts and code to your browser. They do not receive anything you send us. As with any website, they see only the technical request your browser makes in order to load the page.

We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it, or where there is a serious concern about a child's safety.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiry messages are kept for as long as they are useful for supporting your child, and no longer. If you become a family we work with, we keep what we need for as long as your child is with us and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time, whether or not you ever became a client, and we will do it. You do not have to give a reason.

6. Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you have the right to:

  • Ask what we hold about you or your child, and get a copy.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Ask us to delete it, or to stop using it.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, including to us contacting you.
  • Limit how we use it, for example asking us not to contact you about anything beyond your original enquiry.

To do any of these, message or call us on +60 12-212 7743 or email thelodestonesolution@gmail.com. A WhatsApp message saying "please delete my details" is enough. We aim to respond within 21 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia at pdp.gov.my.

7. Children's data

Much of what we hold is about a child rather than about you. We treat it as confidential and share it only with the people directly involved in supporting that child.

We ask that only a parent or legal guardian sends us information about a child. Our website is written for parents, teachers and schools, not for children.

If you tell us about a child in a school or institutional context, we expect you to have the appropriate consent before doing so.

8. Analytics, and turning it off

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to count visits. If you would rather it did not, you can block cookies in your browser settings, use private browsing, or install Google's opt-out add-on. The website works exactly the same either way.

9. Security

The website itself holds no personal data. What you send us lives in WhatsApp and in our own records, and we limit who can see them to the people who need to.

No method of sending information is completely secure. If something does go wrong with data we hold, we will tell you and the Commissioner as the law requires.

10. Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be reflected in both language versions at the same time.

11. Questions

If anything here is unclear, ask. A plain question by WhatsApp is fine and you will get a plain answer.
